About
700 mile walk and cycle challenge from Edinburgh to Paris for the Rugby World Cup. TO RAISE £555,555 FOR MY NAME’5 DODDIE FOUNDATION
To mark the first Rugby World Cup since Doddie Weir’s sad passing, Kenny Logan and friends are set to take part in a unique and grueling challenge from Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, to the Stade de France, Paris.
Supported by World Rugby, Kenny and supporters will be delivering the match ball to the final Pool B match – Ireland v Scotland, as well as raising important funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to support their fight against Motor Neuron Disease.
Kenny earned 70 caps for Scotland and enjoyed success at club level with Stirling County, Glasgow and most famously at London Wasps where he won the European Cup three times.
It was with the Scottish national side that he played alongside Doddie Weir and their friendship grew. Since Doddie announced his MND diagnosis, Kenny has taken it upon himself to do everything he can to support Doddie and his family as well as the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Kenny and his sports marketing agency, Logan Sports Marketing, have raised millions for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation through various commercial activities.
“It’s hard to put into words what Doddie meant to me and my family.
He was the most loving, kind and courageous person I knew; and it was these traits that drove him to fight MND for longer than expected and raise millions of pounds along the way.
Let’s all come together to finish what Doddie started and find a cure for MND.”
